The version is still in Beta though, and as the download page says:

This is beta software, and may contain serious bugs. We think its stable enough to share and hope your feedback will help us improve it.

Beta version are meant to have bugs, and that’s why software is released as beta so real-time bugs could be discovered. But another interesting issue here is that it only supports Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard running on Intel x86 processors.

Nevertheless, uTorrent is the most popular BitTorrent client for the PC due to fact that it packs a huge amount of features in a single executable which is only 243kB and takes about 6MB of RAM. So even a beta version wouldn’t stop torrent lovers to trying it out on their Macs.

The release candidate for OpenOffice.org 3.0 is expected somewhere in July while the final version is coming no earlier than September 2008. The most immediately visible change to OpenOffice.org 3.0 is the new “Start Centre”, new fresh-looking icons, and a new zoom control in the status bar.

BenQ has been showing off its first stab at an MID since the Intel Developer Forum last fall, but it hasn’t exactly been all that forthcoming about the full specs of the device. That situation seems to have changed at the more recent IDF in Shanghai, however, although those details seem to just now be making their way across the Internet. As we knew before, the device will pack an Intel Atom processor (the base 800MHz model), which will apparently be backed up by 512MB of RAM, a 4GB SSD hard drive, and HSPDA support in addition to some integrated WiFi and Bluetooth. The device will also apparently pack a so-called “G-Senser” for “direct touch and free movement to surf on internet,” along with voice activation, and optional GPS. Still no word on the all important pricing or release details, unfortunately, although we hope BenQ will save itself some embarrassment but getting the thing out the door before the next Intel Developer Forum.
