Adobe Photoshop Elements 6

Adobe’s top selling consumer photo software makes it even easier and better to manage and retouch photos. The new Photoshop Elements 6 takes a huge leap from the previous version with many new features to make photo editing easier, faster, and better. One of the most exciting features is the ability to create perfect group photos with Photomerge technology. Photomerge makes it possible to combine different photos with different facial expressions and body language. Other new features includes a better interface, step-by-step wizards, photo books, panoramas, black-and-white conversion, and more. Adobe Photoshop Elements for Windows is available immediately for US $99 ($79.99 for upgrade). The Mac version will be released in early 2008.

Photoshop Brushes

Photoshop Brushes

Chez Plumeau is a new directory of free Photoshop brushes that you can download. The website presents the brushes with thumbnail galleries and lets you browse many different categories. There are many beautiful brushes on the website we’ll show you several amazing ones that the founder of Chez Plumeau thinks are the best.

Features

Categorized Photoshop Brushes

Let’s face it: there are plenty of brushes circulating on the internet but it seems like it’s never enough. Chez Plumeau has over 500 free Photoshop brushes but they separate them into many categories to make it easier to browse.

Supports the Artist

Chez Plumeau doesn’t actually host the brushes; it links to the authors website. Once you find the brush you want, it’ll provide a link directly to the authors download page. This will give the author more website hits and motivation to create more brushes or other Photoshop resources.

Beautiful Brushes

There are many stunning Photoshop brushes on Chez Plumeau. Here are some of the websites favorites:

Why is it called Chez Plumeau?

You probably were asking yourself this question since the beginning but I didn’t want to give away this tiny mystery until you knew what the website was about.

A “plumeau” is the french word for “feather duster”. “Chez Plumeau” is also the name of a famous restaurant located in Montmartre, Paris, nearby the Dali Museum and a few steps from my own home. This restaurant is quite ancient, it’s one of the last place that remains from the time when Montmartre was a homeland for artists, especially for painters. This restaurant was previously a Cabaret and a lot of artists used to go there. It is still a very nice place to have a diner if you come to Paris.

Test Drive Photoshop Express

August 29th, 2008 Abermaplalm Posted in Photoshop No Comments » 698 views

Now you can edit your photos online with Photoshop Express. Photoshop Express is a simple online image editor with most of the commonly used tools. More about Photoshop Express right after the click.

Photoshop Express Review

photoshop-express

Six months ago, Photoshop World gave a sneak peak of Photoshop Express. Today, Adobe has put online a beta version of Photoshop Express for you to try out. Powered by Adobe Flash 9, you can organize and edit your photos directly from your browser with no installation required.

Organize Photos

organize

Photoshop Express lets you upload up to 2GB worth of photos. You can organize your uploaded photos into albums, add captions, and get HTML codes to email, link, or embed your photos, albums, and galleries. You can also connect and download photos from your Facebook, Photobucket, or Picasa account.

Albums

albums

After you upload photos, you can create albums and organize your photos into albums. It works just like your operating system; hold the Ctrl key to select more than one photo then drag and drop to move photos into albums.

Galleries

galleries

Galleries are photo slideshows that you can send to your friends. You can select from four modes to animate the photos and choose between 2D or 3D animation. There is no option to add music or audio to galleries.

Accessing images from Facebook, PhotoBucket, or Picasa

login

If you already have your photos on Facebook, PhotoBucket, or Picasa, you don’t need to upload them again. Simply login to your account and Photoshop Express will automatically download them to your Photoshop Express account automatically.

Tools

Photoshop Express gives you most of the basic tools you need to retouch your photos. It also includes common photo effects such as hue, black and white, and sketch. Photoshop Express is designed to make photo editing fast and easy. Unfortunately, this is the first version of Photoshop that doesn’t use layers and compared to other online image editors that have been out for years, Photoshop Express isn’t much different.

Performance

Photoshop Express will use quite a large amount of processing power for what it does. The effects and adjustments applies quickly but the program seems sluggish on both Firefox and Internet Explorer. Because it loads images from the Internet, you’ll definitely need broadband connection to use Photoshop Express.

Summary

Photoshop Express does a great job letting you organize and edit photos online. The 2GB online storage should be plenty of space for web-sized images. The layout is intuitive and there is virtually no learning curve.

Unfortunately, Photoshop Express is sluggish. The fading in and out of the galleries use a lot of processing power and can appear laggy when viewed full screen or on a high resolution display.

Photoshop Express is the perfect image editor for casual users. You can access your photos on any computer connected to the Internet and share them with your friends.

New Photoshop 7.0 Brushes – Paisley Designs

June 1st, 2008 accolades Posted in Photoshop 1 Comment » 5,190 views

Paisley Designs - Photoshop Brushes set, 75+25

I was checking, the other day, some scrap booking and design sites. Just couldn’t help noticing how popular Paisleys are. And for a good reason too! They are beautiful shapes indeed.

If you go to Google images and enter “Paisley Designs” you’ll see what I’m talking about. I’m talking about perfect decoration for all kinds of design projects. Like a perfect back-vocals at some music performance. Graphic elements that have a great potential of spicing up any visual design project.

But, we all know how hard it is and time consuming to make such designs, whether it be in CorelDRAW or Illustrator – it’s really tough. Particularly shapes like these. I’d say, it more difficult to make those, then any other design shapes because of soo many details that also make them so beautiful.

So, I thought to myself, wouldn’t it be nice to have some nice, high-quality Paisley Designs Photoshop brushes?
